The Craw-Kan "Your Community Technology Partner" Team of the Week from the Southeast Kansas area is the Frontenac Raiders boys basketball team after winning the CNC league title outright for the first time since the 2004 season.

The Raiders, led by first year head coach Ryan Varsolona, who is in his second stint with the program as a head coach and was an assistant on the 2004 team, finished the regular season with only one CNC league loss. Frontenac (12-8) finished the league with a 6-1 record, with the only loss coming to Baxter Springs in CNC play. Galena, Colgan and Baxter all finished league play with a 5-2 record in 2016-2017.

Frontenac finished its final regular season games by getting a share of the league title against Southeast on Tuesday with a 61-40 victory, before Galena would lose to Girard in overtime, giving the Raiders the outright title. On Tuesday, FHS was led by 4A-II all-state candidate Isaac Bicknell who had 29 points in the contest. Eian Mounsour had eight points, while Ryan Long and Hayden Pile each chipped in six.

The second seed Raiders will be back in action this week on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in sub-state as they will take on three seed Girard in the 4A-II postseason at Girard. The winner will take on one seed Baxter Springs or  fourth seeded Columbus on Saturday in the 4A-II sub-state championship with a berth to state at Emporia on the line. The Raiders have not been to state basketball since 2004 when they made it in 3A.
