The Craw-Kan "Your Community Technology Partner" Team of the Week from the Southeast Kansas area after week four of the football season is the Pittsburg High Purple Dragons, led by head coach Tom Nicholson.

The Dragons improved to 3-1 on the season with their 45-19 road victory over their former SEK league rival Fort Scott on Friday. It marked the fifth season in a row that PHS has topped FSHS. Chase Curtis is looking like one of the top quarterbacks in 5A this season as he put up 281 passing yards with three touchdowns and another 92 on the ground with two more scores, giving him five total touchdowns against the Tigers. The 6-foot-5 senior completed 13 of his 17 passes Friday and has 765 yards passing on the season through four games. His favorite target this season has been Dylan White who had four catches for 136 yards and two touchdowns on Friday. White, who is a junior, has 362 yards on the season through four games. Zach Sutton also had three catches and a score on Friday. Brandis Evans also had 103 yards rushing on the ground with a score. Senior Chase Johnson led the defense as he was in on 12 tackles and a TFL. 

Pittsburg, who plays an indepdent schedule, will take their record to the Wichita area this Friday as they will play Andover Central.

"We have a lot of new products including the fastest internet in the area in the new gigabit fiber, we are also in Frontenac and Pittsburg with our service. We are very excited with all the new products we have to offer to the area."

Nominations will be accepted from every Friday-Sunday, with the "Craw-Kan Team of the Week" being released every Monday on Sports in Kansas (Kansas-Sports.com). Teams must be nominated via email or twitter. 

Teams must be from the following leagues in the Southeast Kansas area to be eligible: SEK, CNC, TRL

Craw-Kan and Sports in Kansas will also partner in releasing a "All Craw-Kan Team" for the Southeast Kansas area after postseason play has wrapped up.
