The Rainbow Communications Northeast Kansas Athlete of the Month for their performances over the month of April is Nemaha Central senior track and field athlete, Kaley Dalinghaus.
Dalinghaus, a senior thrower, ranks #1 in 3A this season in the shot put with a toss of 42-09.75. The mark also ranks fifth in all classifications of Kansas High School girls track and field. Her PR mark is 43-11.50 thrown last season. Dalinghaus took second at last years 3A state meet in Wichita. She also has PRs of 138-06 in the javelin which is near the top of 3A and 126-11 in the discus which is also near the top of 3A. She took third in both the discus and javelin in 3A last season. She has thrown at least 40-feet in every single one of her meets in 2017. She is one of the most complete throwers in Kansas and has the opportunity to compete for multiple state titles in her events in 2017.
Rainbow Communications would like to congratulate Kaley on an outstanding senior season so far. This years state outdoor track and field meet is scheduled for May 26th and 27th in Wichita.
