The Nex-Tech Wireless Athlete of the Month from Western Kansas for their performance over the month of March is Hoxie junior guard Easton Slipke.

Slipke averaged over 18 points per game in his junior year to help the Indians (19-6) to a 4th place finish in 2A for 2017. It was just the sixth final four appearance in school history for the Hoxie boys. Slipke was named first team 2A this season from Sports in Kasnas. Hoxie's fourth place run was led by 15 points per state tournament game by Slipke, with 15 a game also coming from Jarrod Dibble and 14.7 coming from Latham Schwarz.

Hoxie won the opening round game at state over Sedan (74-57) before losing in the semifinals to eventual state champions Sacred Heart (70-51), before falling in the third place game to Bishop Seabury (68-56). Nex-Tech Wireless would like to congratulate Easton and the Hoxie boys basketball team on an outstanding season!
