The Nex-Tech Wireless Western Kansas Athlete of the Month for their accomplishments over the month of November is Dighton High School senior Dylan Foos.
Foos, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound, senior, receiver and defensive back, had one of the best seasons for an 8-man player in Kansas. He earned 8M-II Player of the Year honors on defense from Sports in Kansas, was a Sports in Kansas Top 100 Senior (All-Classes) and made first team all-state in 8M-II by the Topeka Capital Journal and Wichita Eagle. Foos got it done on both sides of the football and was arguably the top receiver in 8-man in the state with 1,311 yards recieving and 28 touchdowns this season. He also rushed for 411 more with eight touchdowns. On defense, he racked up 108 tackles and four interceptions. Foos and senior quarterback Tyler Lingg, proved to be one of the top QB/WR combos in the state this season.
Dighton, who finished as the 8M-II state runner-up this season, made it to the state championship game for the first time in school history.
