The Frontenac Raiders, led by fifth year head coach Mark Smith, have been named the Craw-Kan "Your Community Technology Partner" Team of the Week from the Southeast Kansas area from Sports in Kansas for its week six, 43-0, victory over Labette County in Altamont on Friday.

The Grizzlies entered the contest 4-1 and undefeated in SEK league play, averaging 477 yards of offense and 39.6 per game. The Raider defense limited Labette to 171 total yards, including negative two rushing yards, from a team that averaged 231.8 yards rushing per game and held them to zero points. Led by defensive coordinator John Palumbo, the unit has three consecutive shutouts and has only allowed 33 points through five contests. The Raiders also registered a safety on defense and had four interceptions in the win, including two by senior defensive back Isaac Bicknell.

The offense was paced by all-state senior Brandon Mlekus who had three total touchdowns, two passing and one rushing. His rushing touchdown opened the game with a 7-0 lead as he scored 11-yards out in the opening quarter, his passing touchdowns went to senior tight end Dylan Flora for a 49-yard score in the second quarter and an 18-yard connection to senior reciever Ryan Long for score in the third quarter. Senior Cadin Bollinger had two rushing touchdowns for the Raiders and senior Austin Madl also added a score.

Frontenac (6-0, 5-0 CNC), the number two ranked team in the state by the Kpreps poll in 4A-II as we head into week seven, begins district play at home on Friday against Parsons (1-5, 0-5 SEK).

Nominations will be accepted from every Friday-Sunday, with the "Craw-Kan Team of the Week" being released every Monday on Sports in Kansas (Kansas-Sports.com). Teams must be nominated via email or twitter. 

Teams must be from the following leagues in the Southeast Kansas area to be eligible: SEK, CNC, TRL

Craw-Kan and Sports in Kansas will also partner in releasing a "All Craw-Kan Team" for the Southeast Kansas area after postseason play has wrapped up.
