The Labette Bank Athlete of the Month chosen for their athletic performance over the month of June is Bradley Beykirch, a junior to be at St. Mary's Colgan High School in Pittsburg.

Beykirch took first place in the 16 year old division of the Kansas Golf Association Boys Junior Amateur Championship on June 16th by shooting a three round score of 215 (72-73-70) at Crestwood Country Club in Pittsburg. Out of nearly 120 golfers that competed across Kansas, Beykirch finished second overall in all age divisions. In Beykirch's final round he picked up seven birdies, six pars, and five bogies to shoot 70 on the day as he entered the final round in seventh place before shooting two under on the last 18.

Beykirch, who will be a junior this fall at SMC, took sixth in the 2A state golf championships as a sophomore this past May and will be one of the top returning junior golfers in all of Kansas for the 2017 high school golf season.
