The St. Mary's Colgan Panthers baseball team, led by head coach Mike Watt, has earned the Craw-Kan "Your Community Technology Partner" Team of the Week for their play last week.

SMC went 4-0 over the week with key doubleheader CNC victories over Girard on Monday (14-0, 9-4) and Frontenac on Thursday (5-4, 4-2). The Panthers also picked up another win this Monday as they knocked off Columbus (2-0). Colgan, the number one ranked team in 2-1A, is 15-3 overall this season, including an 11-2 mark in CNC league play. Their only two league losses came to Baxter Springs who sits at 16-1 overall and 11-1 in league action.

Colgan will be back in action with a non-league double header against Carl Junction (MO) on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. Carl Junction is one of the top teams in Southwest Missouri this season and in Missouri Class 4. Colgan will look for their fourth consecutive state title this spring, winning 3A in 2013 and 2-1A the past two seasons.
