The Rainbow Communications Athlete of the Month chosen by Sports in Kansas for the their play over the month of November is Troy High School junior football player Cuttar Huss.

Huss, a 5-foot-11 152 pound slot reciever and free safety, did a little bit of everything for the Trojans in 2015. He had 717 yards rushing (11 TD), and 751 recieving for another 10 TDs on offfense. On defense, Huss had 60 tackles and picked off nine passes to lead the state from his defensive back position. Huss, who helped the Trojans into their first ever state title game as they took second to Phillipsburg in a heartbreaking 30-29 loss, earned multiple all-state honors in 2015.

"He drew the focus of opposing defenses all year and still put up these numbers. I may be biased but I felt like he was the best all around player in 2-1A this season." Troy Head Coach, Derek Jasper said.

Sports in Kansas and numerous voters definitely agreed with Jasper as Huss was selected as our 2-1A Offensive Player of the Year on Monday. Huss will be one of the top returnees in the state for the 2016 football season next fall.
