The Columbus Titan Football Team, led by head coach Dan Grundy, has been named the Craw-Kan "Your Community Technology Partner" Team of the Week from Sports in Kansas for their 36-27 victory over Santa Fe Trail in the 4A-II quarterfinals on Friday night in Columbus.

The Titans (12-0), who went undefeated and won the CNC league championship, were led by 186 yards and two touchdowns by senior all-state running back Jace McDown. McDown now leads the state of Kansas with over 2,500 yards rushing in 2015. Ethan Martin, who helps lead the Columbus defense with McDown, also scored two touchdowns on the ground for the Titans as Keenan Stanley added another.

This marks the second consecutive year Columbus has advanced to the 4A-II state semifinals, last year beating Santa Fe Trail to advance to state championship. This year Columbus will travel to Holton to take on the Wildcats on Friday at 6pm with a berth to the 4A-II state championship on the line.
