The Southeast-Cherokee boys basketball team, led by head coach Steven Taylor, has been named the "Craw-Kan Team of the Week" from the southeast Kansas area for the week of February 9th - February 15th.

The Lancers went 1-1 on the week, losing to Riverton in overtime (65-57) on Tuesday, but their victory over St. Mary's Colgan (56-46) on Friday earned them their second nod of the Team of the Week for the season.

SE knocked the Panthers off 56-46 in CNC league action as junior Chandler Jackson and senior Riley Ulery combined for 29 points and 19 rebounds in the contest. Senior Caleb Biancarelli also chipped in nine, while senior Ryan Rakestraw added six points, four rebounds and four assists.

The Lancers led 21-19 at the half and increased their lead by eight points after the third quarter before finishing with a ten point victory over the Panthers.

The Lancers, who had their game canceled on Tuesday against Baxter, will play Frontenac on Friday. Southeast may be peaking at the right time as they had lost to Colgan by 12 points back in late January.
