This Week's Craw-Kan "Your Community Technology Partner" Team of the Week from Southeast Kansas is the Columbus High School football team led by Blake Burns.
The Titans are quietly under the radar at 3-0 this season and should definitely be a team to keep an eye on in 3A football for 2020. They've had three solid victories in three weeks over Frontenac in week one (25-6), Coffeyville in week two (14-7) and Girard in week three (26-7). Gabe Martin leads the charge on the ground with 365 yards rushing in the 3-0 start with three touchdowns, he's also added a touchdown reception. Jaxson Haraughty has doubled as a dual threat with the Titans with nearly 300 yards of total offense and five combined touchdowns. Lynn Shallenburger has 25 tackles to lead all defenders on the team while Sylas Stone (23 stops) and Trent Smith (22 stops) are second and third on the team. Columbus has seven interceptions as a defense. Columbus defense has only allowed 20 points all season.
Columbus is back in action this week on the road against Baxter Springs.
