This months Rainbow Communications Northeast Kansas Athlete of the Month is Hiawatha cross country runner Katherine Madsen. Madsen took all-state honors at the state outdoor earlier this month with a 18th place finish at 20:58.
Hiawatha also took 9th as a team. On the boys side Justin Hodge took fifteenth for medal for Hiawatha
