This Weeks Craw-Kan "Your Community Technology Partner" Team of the Week from Southeast Kasnas is the Labette County High School Grizzlies Basketball team led by first year head coach Bradley Argabright.
The Grizzlies, who hadn't won a league game since the 2018 season two years ago, have now won back-to-back league contests with upsets over Chanute on Friday and Fort Scott on Tuesday. Seniors Nathan Smith and Ethan Jameson have led the Grizzlies in scoring this year with 12.2 and 10.2 points per game in 2019-2020. Smith also grabs 7.4 boards per game. Eli Hestand has also had a solid sophomore year in over eight points per game while senior Luke Falkenstein has averaged six per contest. LCHS has also won four of its last five games after starting out the season 0-6. Labette has had a complete turnaround of their season as they were 1-10 five weeks ago.
The schedule doesn't get easier though as the Grizzlies take on SEK league power Pittsburg (5A) on Tuesday on the road. Craw-Kan would like to congratulate LCHS on a solid turnaround this season!
