The Trojans, who moved back up to Class 4A this season, picked up a tournament championship over the weekend at the Wilson County Classic as they improved to 7-4 after Tuesdays CNC win over Baxter. Girard has won the last four games in a row over Bluestem, Fredonia, Cherryvale and Baxter. Girard is one of the most balanced teams in the area led by tournament averaged of Faith Poland at 10.7 ppg, Makaila Ausemus at 8.7, Lilian HOward at 6.7, Brookylyn Tallie at 5.7. Four other players all score at least three per game. Tallie leads the rebounders at 6.7, Droessler at 6.3, Howard at 6.7 with Olivia Cullen and Faith Poland at 4.7. Bailey Troike and Kinley Smith have also added some assists.
