This Weeks Craw-Kan "Your Community Technology Partner Team of the Week" from Southeast Kansas is the Southeast-Cherokee High School Lancers football team led by head coach Jerrad Hanson.
The Lancers are 3-0 to start the football season for the first time since the 2012 season. SE has picked up wins over Uniontown (34-12), Pleasanton (28-12) and Yates Center (48-0). The Lancers are averaging just over 400 yards of offense per game, with 350 of those coming on the ground. Zaden Hendricks has rushed for over 350 yards with three rushing touchdowns while Bryce Petersen has added just over 250 with four rushing scores. Jakob Tavernero has also had a big year with 183 yards on the ground with three scores, while Gage Oplotnik has added two rushing scores. Garrett Evans leads the Lancers with two receiving scores on the seaso as Petersen has also thrown for three touchdowns.
Defensively, Tavernero leads with 24 stops while Opolotnik has registered 21 tackles. Petersen has also picked off two passes while Evans and Tavernero each have one.
Southeast will be back in action this Friday on the road to open up district play against Northeast-Arma (1-2) at 7 pm.
Craw-Kan “Your Technology Partner" and Sports in Kansas will once again be in partnership over the 2019-2020 school year to release a "Craw-Kan Team of the Week" for the sixth consecutive season.

Nominations will be accepted from every Friday-Sunday, with the "Craw-Kan Team of the Week" being released every Monday on Sports in Kansas (Kansas-Sports.com). Teams must be nominated via email or twitter.
Teams must be from the following leagues in the Southeast Kansas area to be eligible: SEK, CNC, TRL, plus Erie, Pittsburg and Parsons.
Craw-Kan and Sports in Kansas will also partner in releasing a "All Craw-Kan Team" for the Southeast Kansas area after postseason play has wrapped up.
