The Girard girls track and field team has earned this weeks Craw-Kan "Your Community Technology Partner" Team of the Week from the Southeast Kansas coverage area.
The Trojans cruised to the CNC League Track and Field title last Thursday in Frontenac as they won seven total events and scored 209 points. The next competitor was Galena in second place with 82 points and Colgan at third with 80 points.
Girard got first place finishes and league titles from Racel Stephan (100 hurdles, 300 hurdles), Haley Orender (1600), Alyssa Gardner (discus), Emma Kerr (pole vault), Olivia Cullen (shot put) and the 4x100 relay team. Girard boys also had Cormick Logue (3200) and Durbie McReynolds (Pole Valut) pick up CNC league titles.
The Trojans will be back in action on 5/17/19 as they host the 3A regional track meet in Girard. Top four place winners in each event of the 16-team regional move on to the KSHSAA State Track and Field Meet in Wichita on May 24th and 25th.
Craw-Kan would like to congratulate the Trojans on an outstanding season so far in 2019.

Also that Craw-Kan is now in Frontenac and Pittsburg. It's also going to several other areast in Southeast Kansas”

"We have a lot of new products including the fastest internet in the area in the new gigabit fiber, we are also in Frontenac and Pittsburg with our service. We are very excited with all the new products we have to offer to the area."
Nominations will be accepted from every Friday-Sunday, with the "Craw-Kan Team of the Week" being released every Monday on Sports in Kansas (Kansas-Sports.com). Teams must be nominated via email or twitter.
Teams must be from the following leagues in the Southeast Kansas area to be eligible: SEK, CNC, TRL, plus Erie, Pittsburg and Parsons.
Craw-Kan and Sports in Kansas will also partner in releasing a "All Craw-Kan Team" for the Southeast Kansas area after postseason play has wrapped up.
