The Nex-Tech Wireless Western Kansas Athlete of the Month is Ness City High School senior Tiana Epperson.
Epperson, a thrower, is one of the top ranked throwers in all classes of Kansas. She ranks #6 in all classes of the Kansas javelin this season at 139-08. She is also ranked #10 in all classes of Kansas in the shot put at 40-11. Each javelin snd shot throws by her also rank as the #1 throw in Class 2A this season.
Epperson took second in 2A in both the shot put and javelin last season and will be chasing a couple of state titles later this month in Wichita.
Epperson signed to continue her track and field career at Fort Hays State University last November.
