The Labette Bank Athlete of the Month from the Southeast Kansas coverage area, selected by Sports in Kansas, is Labette County High School senior high jumper Caleb Hentzen.

Hentzen, a junior who stands just 5-foot-8, has the #1 high jump in 4A and in all classes of Kansas this season at 6-foot-10. Hentzen got the mark at the opening meet of the year in Altamont. He has also gotten 6'8" on two other occassions this season. Teammate Ethan Jameson is also one of the top jumpers in the state with a 6'6" mark and its very uncommon to have two jumpers from the same team with those marks.

Hentzen is also a standout football player and has been selected to play in the 2019 Kansas Shrine Bowl.

Labette Bank would like to congratulate Caleb on an outstanding 2019 track and field season so far.
