Kade Scott, Pawnee Heights, Sr., RB

We've had POY honors since 2012 but this is the first time we've branched in the 6-man ranks and as it continued to be more popular we've added it to Sports in Kansas yearly football honors, although not yet sanctioned by KSHSAA. Scott has earned MVP on one side of the ball the last three seasons. This year, Pawnee Heights finished 7-3 and fourth place in six-man. On Oct. 25, the Tigers defeated Cheylin, 118-85, believed to be the highest scoring game in state history. Scott had 32 carries for 501 yards and 10 scores and caught four receptions for 90 yards and two TDs in the victory.

Overall, Scott rushed 197 times for 2,941 yards and 52 rushing scores. He also completed 19 of 28 passes for 285 yards with a 5/0 TD/INT ratio.

Scott completed a standout career for Pawnee Heights after the program re-started when PH moved to six-man football. As a sophomore, PH went 8-3 and was state runner-ups to Weskan. He was six-man Defensive Player of the Year.

Last season, the Tigers finished 9-0 and won the state championship as Scott was six-man Offensive Player of the Year.

The 6-foot-1,190-pound Scott has posted a 4.7 in the 40-yard dash with a 235 bench, 365 squat, 400 deadlift and 225 in clean. In three seasons, he had 525 rushes for 7,205 yards and 118 rushing TDs.
