The Nex-Tech Wireless Central Kansas Athlete of the Month for their play over the last month is Great Bend High School senior football player Koy Brack.
Brack, a quarterback, had a big-time year for the Panthers who lost in the 5A state quarterfinals (28-21 to Maize) on Friday to finish the season 8-3. He passed for 2,203 yards this season to go along with 22 touchdowns. He also rushed for 283 more yards and 12 scores.Brack finished his career at Great Bend with 3,370 yards and 29 passing touchdowns as a two-year starter at quarterback. He also had 1,165 yards on the ground and 27 rushing touchdowns in his career. He was also a breakout reciever as a sophomore in 2016 with nearly 500 yards receiving and three scores.
Although Great Bend lost to Wichita Northwest, Carroll and Maize, two which still remain, Brack really shined against that competition. He combined for 983 yards, 10 passing touchdowns and just two interceptions against the three state powers, proving he was one of the top quarterbacks in the state.
Nex-Tech Wireless would like to congratulate Koy and the Great Bend Panthers on an oustanding season in 2018.
