The final Craw-Kan "Your Community Technology Partner" Team of the Week of the spring 2018 season is the St. Mary's Colgan Panther baseball team after capturing second place in the 2018 2-1A state baseball tournament.

Colgan, led by head coach Mike Watt, had the least amount of regular season wins in the history of their program under Watt this year entering post season play and ended up getting hot at the right time and taking second in the 2-1A state tournament. Colgan also played the toughest schedule in all of 2-1A this year with several losses coming to out of state opponents that would be as big as a 6A school in Kansas.

The Panthers finished the season at 9-16 but picked up wins over #1 seeded Elkhart, 12-6, in the quarterfinals of the 2-1A state tournamnet before knocking off fifth seeded Ell-Saline, 9-1, in the state semifinals. SMC fell just short off the state title as they fell to eventual 2-1A state champion, Spearville, 13-12, in the championship. The Panthers played five freshman in the state title game and only graduate two seniors from their 2018 team.

Craw-Kan would like to congratulate the Panthers on an outstanding season in 2018.
