The Nex-Tech Wireless Western Kansas Athlete of the Month is Scott Community High School junior Marshall Faurot out of Scott City, Kansas.
Faurot is one of the best track and field athletes in the state and has proved that with his outstanding marks over the 2018 season. He has a state best 16'0" in the pole vault this season to rank first among all classifications in the state of Kansas. He also ranks near the top in the high jump at 6'6", the 110 hurdles at 14.82 and the 300 meter hurdles at 40.43. Faurot could win multiple state titles in a couple of weeks at Cessna Stadium in Wichita at the 2018 KSHSAA State Track and FIeld Meet.
