The Nex-Tech Wireless Central Kansas Athlete of the Month is Smoky Valley freshman pole vaulter Belle Peters.
Peters, in her first season of high school track and field, is among the best all-time in already in Kansas history in the pole vault. Her mark of 12'10" this season is the #2 mark in the entire state of Kansas in 2018. It's also the fourth highest vault in Kansas history as the all-time mark is 13'7" by Emily Brigham of Mill Valley set back in 2012. Her mark is also the #1 mark among all freshman in the United States this season.
