The Frontenac Raider baseball team captured Craw-Kan "Your Community Technology Partner" Team of the Week honors last week after going 3-1 over the week.

It was a big week for the Raiders who captured the CNC League Baseball Title on Monday with a double header sweep over Columbus. Frontenac also beat St. Paul last week before dropping one game with Pembroke Hill out of Kansas City (Mo) on Saturday at home, 3-2. The Raiders, led by head coach Bill Sullivan, are 14-3 on the year with a 9-2 mark in CNC league play. Frontenac's only CNC losses came both to Galena (14-4, 8-4 CNC) in a doubleheader two weeks ago.

The Raiders have five players hitting over .300 this year. Peyton Bown leads the team with a .433 while Jake Lee is hitting .392 with Kade Chastain is hitting .382. Broc Ginavan and Cooper Cleland are all also over .300 this season. Lee leads the team with 26 RBI and 10 doubles, while Brown has driven in 19 runs with four doubles. Brown leads the team with 26 hits while Cleland and Chastain also have 21 a piece.

Broc Ginavan and Kooper Loy each have three pitching wins for the Raiders this season. Ginavan has struck out 35 batters in 29.1 IP. He's only given up 19 hits on the season, while Loy has allowed just 23 in 19 IP. Jake Wilbert is also 2-0 on the year for the Raiders, only allowing eight hits in 21 innings pitched. Lee is also 2-0 on the mound.

Frontenac will be back in action against Carl Junction (Mo) on Monday May 7th before the completion of a suspended game earlier this season with Colgan on Thursday.
