The Craw-Kan "Your Community Technology Partner" Team of the Week from Southeast Kansas is the Pittsburg High Purple Dragon baseball team led by head coach Keith Matlock.
The Dragons opened up the 2018 season with three wins last week over SEK League competition. They swept Chanute (12-1, 4-3) on Thursday before beating Fort Scott (18-8) on Friday. In the Fort Scott game the Dragons overcame a 5-0 deficit to win 18-8, courtesy of a 13-3 run in the seventh at the LaRoche Baseball Complex in Fort Scott. Tye Cicero was big against Fort Scott picking up three hits as was Trenton Austin with three hits. Jerek Butcher also had two hits and drove in three runs. Brett Weimers was the winning pitcher for the Purple Dragons against FS.
Pittsburg is schedule to play on Monday against Neosho at Pitt State if weather cooperates and will have one game against Fort Scott on Tuesday at home.
Craw-Kan “Your Technology Partner" and Sports in Kansas will once again be in partnership over the 2017-2018 school year to release a "Craw-Kan Team of the Week".

Also that Craw-Kan is now in Frontenac and Pittsburg”

"We have a lot of new products including the fastest internet in the area in the new gigabit fiber, we are also in Frontenac and Pittsburg with our service. We are very excited with all the new products we have to offer to the area."
Nominations will be accepted from every Friday-Sunday, with the "Craw-Kan Team of the Week" being released every Monday on Sports in Kansas (Kansas-Sports.com). Teams must be nominated via email or twitter.
Teams must be from the following leagues in the Southeast Kansas area to be eligible: SEK, CNC, TRL
Craw-Kan and Sports in Kansas will also partner in releasing a "All Craw-Kan Team" for the Southeast Kansas area after postseason play has wrapped up.
