The Titans, led by first year head coach Willie Watt, earned a share of the 2018 CNC Girls League Title after defeating Baxter Springs on Tuesday. Sophomore Karsyn Youngblood, a 5-foot-10 forward, has been the breakout player this season for the Titans and should contend for All 4A-II honors. SHe has averaged 16 points and 13 rebounds per game. Yougblood had 23 points and 25 rebounds in the win over Chanute.

Columbus (12-8) will be back in action this week with sub-state play in 4A-II as they host Parsons (11-9) in the opening round.
