The Craw-Kan "Your Community Technology Partner" Team of the Week is the Frontenac girls basketball team led by head coach Martha Harper.
The Raiders picked up a key CNC victory, 67-56, on Friday night over their rival, St. Mary's Colgan, a team ranked in 2-1A. The Raiders were led by Karma Fields who had 21 points in the contest and Taylor Peterson who had 18. It was also senior night for the Raider girls including Skylar Baker, Katelin Randall, Taylor Peterson and Macy Kotzman. Frontenac turned it on in the fourth quarter to outlast and outscore the Panthers by outscoring them 28-11 in the last quarter.
Frontenac went 1-1 on the week and improved to 5-12 on the season. Friday's win was the biggest of the season and a bright spot for the Raiders who have struggled against a higher level schedule in 2017-2018. The Raiders have another key CNC matchup on the road on Tuesday against Columbus.
