The Nex-Tech Wireless Central Kansas Athlete of the Month is McPherson senior girls basketball player Taylor Robertson.
Robertson became the girls all-time leader for points in a career at McPherson High School back on the 25th of January as she scored her 1,594th point in the first quarter against SM South in the McPherson Invitational Tournament that Mac would later go on to win. She would go on to score seven more points in the game to give her 1,610 total in 79 career games at the time. It gives her an average of over 20 points per game over the last four seasons. Robertson signed to play at the University of Oklahoma earlier this year. Being the all-time leader in points at the storied McPherson program is quite the accomplishment as the Bullpups have eight state titles as a program, all of those coming from 1981-to-2012. Robertson was also last years 2017 Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of Kansas.
McPherson, led by head coach Christ Strathman, is currently ranked number two in the KBCA 4A-I Poll with a 12-1 record. Mac's only loss came to Miege earlier this season before the break as the Lady Stags are ranked #1 in 4A-I.
