The Craw-Kan "Your Community Technology Partner" Team of the Week from the Southeast Kansas area is the Fort Scott Tigers girls basketball team, led by head coach Pechone Stepps.

The Tiger girls are on a four game winning streak and picked up two key SEK League victories last week. On Tuesday, Fort Scott knocked off 4A-II ranked Parsons on the road in a 47-42 win. On Friday FS picked up another victory over Chanute, 55-50. Madison Cook led the Tigers with 19 points as she went eight of 12 from the field with eight rebounds and four steals. Skyelar Brown also had 17 points for Fort Scott. The four game winning streak includes wins over Chanute, Parsons, Girard (last years 4A-II champ), and KC Turner.

The Tigers improved to 5-2 in the league and have a 8-7 overall record in a very battle-tested schedule in 2017-2018. Fort Scott will be back in action this Friday in Altamont as they take on Labette County (15-0, 7-0 SEK). Fort Scott is currently second in the SEK League standings at 5-2.
